Templating

Having agreed your quote you are now ready to proceed to the next stage of our process.

When all base carcasses are fitted and there is no possibility of them moving, you are ready to proceed with Templating.

Our team will visit your premises to produce templates which will be used to manufacture your worktops.

It is advisable at this stage to have on site, all fittings which will come into contact with the granite; this will enable your templater to establish the exact location for final placement.

It is important that you are on site for this visit to answer any design questions and to make any necessary decisions.

Templating Considerations

Sink 

Type, make, model if under mounted sink which side you require any grooves cut and the design of the draining grooves you require.  Which way around your sink is to be positioned?

Hob

Type, Make, Model if recessed hob is required please ensure that manufacturers specification is available to check suitability and the size of the gap between the hob and granite.

Tap

Size and position of tap hole along with any spray attachment.

Upstands

Please inform your templater if you require Upstands.  Standard Upstands are 100mm high.

Windowsills

Your templater will be able to give advice on the options available.

Splashbacks

If you require a splashback behind the hob or cooker area please ensure that any cooker hoods are in final position.

Waste Disposal Switches

Please ensure your templater is aware that you require a hole for the switch.

Pop up Plugs

If you intend to fit a pop up plug please ensure that your templater is aware.

Pop up Waste Holes / Soap Dispensers

Ensure your templater is aware you intend to use these so provision is made on your template.

Islands / Peninsular

Please consider the shape of any Island or Peninsular, our templater will be able to advise and create the shape you require and enable you to envisage how this will fit in with your kitchen design.

Replacement Tops

If you are replacing existing worktops please ensure that these are removed prior to the templater arriving.
